19th Century Cameo of Zeus - Original 9 ct Gold Mount

A beautifully rendered depiction of Zeus carved in good detail and fine relief on a particularly high profiled shell (making it difficult to capture photographically).

Measuring 1 3/8" tall x 1" wide, it is a full 7/8" deep.

CONDITION: Excellent with no damage to note. Masterfully carved detail to a left facing profile. Original Mount with T and C clasp retains it's attached chain and safety pin. It is marked 9 CT and of British origin. Mid 1800's.
