Nice large 1" round porcelain face and easy to read black Roman Numerals. Sweeping second hand at 6 o'clock.
The bracelet is one of the early 'spring release' expansions designed to wear as a piece of jewelry dropping down on the hand a little. It is 8" long without the stretch and expands about another inch. Of course it could be shortened for someone who prefers a watch close to her wrist, but I have a friend who has a similar watch and she wears it with a collection of other Victorian bracelets all together for a gorgeous look. She also wears her face down instead of on the top of the wrist claiming she sees the time better that way - and gets an extra bracelet for her collection! Either way, it's a lovely timepiece.
Keeping excellent time, the watch was recently serviced.
CONDITION: Light hairlines to the porcelain dial do not distract. No losses. Red Gold bracelet and watch are Marked 9C. Weight by scale: 18.2 grams. British, 19th Century, Victorian.
