The beautiful Red Aves pattern is actually a terra cotta color on a brilliant white ground. It is especially gorgeous on a country or less formal table setting. A large and very dramatic squared top is of molded French Jet (black glass) on this long hat pin. The top measures 1.25" square with a slightly domed depth of about .25". A very pretty pin with what was sold to me is Jade - and likely is not, is set in a lovely handcrafted sterling mount. The brooch measures 1.5" x 1.25" and is complete with it's original broaching assembly. CONDITION: Very fine antique condition with no damage and little wear to note. It's possible this is re-constituted jade. Extended stick pin, c clasp. Turn of the 20th century.
