Handle to the right, the puce transfer is of a kneeling girl, in empire dress, playing with her cat. Green enamels are over glaze and emphasize the foliage. Handle to the left, the scene, a kneeling child pets a smiling lamb. Marine blue enameling encircles the rims the middle and down the handle. Neither piece has an identifying potter's mark. The saucer has a green hand painted pattern number: 189. I have had another piece with the impressed mark of a daisy-like flower shape. The saucer is sipping bowl shape without a center indent. The cup sits on a pedestal foot ring while the saucer has a simple foot ring with recessed bottom.
CONDITION: The bottom side well of the SAUCER has hairline running base ring to base ring. It does not penetrate to pattern side. (Picture taking revealed a tight 1/8" rim hairline. Another saucer will be included, also with a backside well hair-line, but with a near-mint pattern side.) About 5 little pin pricks to the marine blue rim of the saucer (meaning enamel loss, not damage). The CUP is near mint with only expected rubbing wear to the base of the foot ring.
