Painted in the manner of the Parr Factory, c.1860, this 7" tall figure (weighing 1lb .3oz) is finely colored and well potted with excellent facial painting. Best Gold 1/2 circles the base and enhances David's tunic straps and belt. His clothing is painted to resemble animal fur.
Guaranteed to be a genuine Mid-Victorian antique figure painted in the manner of Thomas Parr. A quality piece of pearlware and artistic painting with the lamb's fur texturized , the clay having been passed through a sieve prior to firing.
I find NO damage, NO restoration, NO repair. Possibly, not evident though, a sprig from the foliage might have teensy loss near David's right foot. Both legs are separated and free standing with NO damage! All 4 of the sheep's legs are separate and have NO damage and David's arms and hands are also free of damage. Highly unusual to have this valuable and rare figure in near-perfect condition!
