This neat looking creature is the color of butterscotch with an ochre mane. He appears very interested in what's going on. He is a 20th century copy of a much earlier dated Staffordshire lion.

4-1/2" tall with a rectangular base measuring 5-1/2 by 3-3/4". He is not a flat back but in full dimension. Perfect Condition with NO damage, NO repairs, and NO restorations. Light crazing.

2 large vent-holes in the base clue to a 20th Century date. Possibly even an export, not potted in the Staffordshire District. Provenance unknown. The decorative "gilding" line at the base top is closer to being copper lustre.
