This blue Staffordshire Transferware TEA SET is in the "Peacock" pattern but in the Hackwood mould, not the less attractive versions by Benjamin Godwin illustrated in both Lechler, ENGLISH TOY CHINA and Punchard, PLAYTIME POTTERY & PORCELAIN (Fig.25,p12 and p31, top). English Toy China: Lightweight, finely potted with delicate and pleasing scalloped rim. 2-5/8 ins. and 2-1/2" rim span. NO cracks, NO chips, NO hairlines, NO repairs. Some gilt loss around the rim but in good condition down the handle's spine. Circular foot rim with slightly recessed bottom marked with the pseudo-Chinese Mason Mark (Godden 2545) for MILES MASON, c. 1800-1816, printed mark used on Willow and Chinoiserie type patterns.| Items 1 - 2 of 2 | Page 1 of 1 |
