REDUCED English Staffordshire Pen Holder ~ Swans & Cygnet ~ c.1850

$95 USD ReducedREDUCED English Staffordshire Pen Holder ~ Swans & Cygnet ~ c.1850

Porcelain:Antique:Staffordshire Figurine
Porcelain. Mother and Papa Swans with little one on "grass" with fanciful tree bocage. I detect no damage, no repair. Tree trunk color is darker than the base or the swans and believed to be so intended. The back of the tree trunk and down to the base shows glaze crazing with discoloration. Nice gilding to wings, heads and around the base. Interesting Leaf design above the baby swan in mellow yellowish ochre, iron red, and a pleasing green. 5ins. high by 4-1/2" long and base width of 2-1/2". ...

SALE WEDGWOOD c.1878 Miniature TEAPOT Chinoiserie Green & Gold

$124 USD Offers ConsideredSALE WEDGWOOD c.1878 Miniature TEAPOT Chinoiserie Green & Gold

Porcelain:Antique:Miniature Teapot:Wedgwood
A tad over 3-1/2" high, this was sold to me by a U.K. antique dealer as a child's teapot. I think it may be an adult toy tea pot for display. It is fine porcelain with a Japan-like pattern in moss-green prints or transfers, with gilding added over the glaze. The Wedgwood mark is upper case with the famous vase also in the muted green. Godden Mark 4091: "Printed mark on porcelains from c. 1878." The little pot does not have inner strainer holes, but one large circular hole. Any Wedgwood expert ...
