This depiction of Horner Park begs captures the early morning splendor of the city, when the hush still rules. Horner Park is located on the north side of Chicago, near the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood by the artists' home.

Professionally framed, this oil-on-canvas measures 23 1/2 inches across and 19 1/2 inches high. It is signed "Cooper, 2006."

Born and raised in Chicago, contemporary artist John Cooper displays his works at local galleries and annual neighborhood art festivals such as as ArtWalk Ravenswood, the Around the Coyote Festival, and the Old Town Art Fair. His works lend an air of pause and reflection over the simple beauty of a Midwestern winter, a country kitchen, a jug of flowers. A musician as well, John has recently released his first folk music CD.
