Professionally framed, this oil-on-canvas measures 16 inches across and 14 inches high. It is signed "Cooper, 2005." Note that the slight variations of color in these photos are a result of lighting changes, in an attempt to show how the piece's look can vary.

Born and raised in Chicago, contemporary artist John Cooper displays his works at local galleries and annual neighborhood art festivals such as as ArtWalk Ravenswood, the Around the Coyote Festival, and the Old Town Art Fair. His works lend an air of pause and reflection over the simple beauty of a Midwestern winter, a country kitchen, a jug of flowers. A musician as well, John has recently released his first folk music CD.
