What I find most glorious about these paintings is the mood and motion it captures - it actually looks like the paintings themselves are snowing.

Professionally framed, each oil-on-canvas measures 18 inches across and 15 inches high. They are signed "Cooper, 2004."

Born and raised in Chicago, contemporary artist John Cooper displays his works at local galleries and annual neighborhood art festivals such as as ArtWalk Ravenswood, the Around the Coyote Festival, and the Old Town Art Fair. His works lend an air of pause and reflection over the simple beauty of a Midwestern winter, a country kitchen, a jug of flowers. A musician as well, John has recently released his first folk music CD.
