Austrian Bronze Bookends

This pair of hand painted bronze bookends dates from the 1920's. I strongly suspect the depiction is of a Arabian sex slave auction, as the dressed man has a "sales stance" and the woman is seated, naked, with a little blanket.

The pieces measure 3 1/2 by 6 inches each. On one, the man's hand has broken off. It is marked "Austria" on the bottom.

Note that if you use them on the same shelf, the left bookend will have the figures and most of the detail facing the wall.
