SALE Hand Painted Haviland Dessert Plates, Set of Four

Of these dainty plates, two were signed and dated by the artist, Bertha A. Belden, on 12-25-1914. There are actually five plates total (think four and a spare) that measure 6 1/8 inches in diameter. The "spare" has some unknown black marks on the face of the plate and there are a couple of the artist's tiny paint smudges here and there on the others.

The plates are marked "Haviland France." They are hand painted with a gold border and three groupings of red, yellow, purple, and green fruit and leaves around the perimeter. They make me want to eat cheese on a lazy, girly afternoon.
