This pair of delicious French candlestick holders dating from the late1800's are elegant and whimsical. The 24K gold plating was done in the 1970's.

Designed to hold 3/4 or 1/2 inch diameter candles, they portray a child or cherub seated on a tuffet, playing with fiddlesticks. Around the base are scenes of cherubs playing, dancing, and carrying on.

These stand about 8 inches high and 4 1/2 inches wide at the base.
