Carved from a single elephant tusk, this bridge features 8 elephants, joined at trunk and tail. It measures about 19" long and it in fair to good condition, assuming it is over 100 years old. A repair occurred at some point (and I must say they did a great job, at first I thought it was as simple surface crack on the bottom). Also, the bridge stands quite precariously in its wooden stand - it worked for the photos but would require some clever action to get it to safely stay put in a display ...
I don't have a lot of info on this little guy, except that I was told by the antique dealer I bought it from that it was "Pre Columbian Costa Rica." Clearly it is authentic, however. He stands 2 3/8" inches high.
