SUPERB Victorian bookchain cameo necklace consisting of a beautifully carved coral stone cameo with her face tilted to the left.Raised high with intricately detailed engravings with front and back repousse workmanship. There is also black enamel work around the cameo. The necklace is circa 1860's! This gold filled victorian antique bookchain necklace has gorgeous fine quality workmanship and is so elegantly classy with nice flexibility. The top left part is actually where the clasp inserts into the back of the cameo so it's easy to put on and take off! This book chain necklace has a nice slinky feel in it's entirety! Very light weight to. Measures 17" inches in length. The links are approx 1/4" of a inch by just under 1/2" inch long. The antique cameo drop with tassels is 2 1/4" inches. This antique Victorian cameo necklace is in excellent condition without any chips or cracks to the cameo I do see two small holes one in the hair and the other on the side of her neck looks like it is natural, maybe a jeweler can put two little stones in them. No missing parts which is really incredible being that this antique jewellery is at least over 125 Years Old!
