Signed Miriam Haskell Repousse' Art Nouveau Style 10GP Pin Brooch

Butterfly, flowers, branches and leaves all say Art Nouveau motif. Approximately 2 inches long by 1 1/4 inch wide, this 10K gold plated (I tested it myself) beauty is done in repousse', a method of decorating metal in which designs are hammered into the back of the metal. Special punches are used to form the designs, which form in relief (raised designs) on the surface of the metal. On the back of the pin in a classic oval is written Miriam Haskell in raised, block letters. As with most Haskell pins the pin stem can only be raised 90 degrees. The pin and its safety clasp are very sturdy and the entire pin is in very good vintage condition. The perfect addition to your hat, purse, jacket or blouse -adds a touch of delicate beauty.
