What a find - Vintage Dooney & Bourke! This bag is in Ivy Green leather with British Tan leather trim. It was one of their first All Weather Leather, 1987, bags and is in the Saddle Bag or Surrey Style. This fabulous bag has been gently used and is in wonderful condition. There are a few scuffs on the bottom of the bag, on the leather strap buckle closure and the brass hardware also shows very little wear. The interior is similarly luxurious with its soft suede lining which is also in good condition for a bag this age. Counting the brass foot tabs the bag is 8 1/2 inches high by 10 inches wide and 4 inches deep. The strap drop is adjustable between 23 to 28 1/2 inches. As with all real Dooney and Bourke bags the stitching thread around the leather logo tag is the same color as the thread that's used on the seams. All the hardware on this bag is brass from the protective feet, studs and strap knobs. Inside the bag, sewn beneath a leather seam is a red, white and blue tag which reads Dooney & Bourke, Inc., Made in U.S.A. and the back of the tag has the bags registration number. This is a wonderful buy at a great value.
