Absolutely beautiful black satin purse with some of the finest petit point needlework I've ever seen. Extremely tiny stitches create a spray of purple and pale blue flowers, red roses in full bloom, four bright red rose buds and golden yellow flowers accented with variegated green leaves and stems across the center of the front. The rest of the exterior is solid black satin with hidden seams, polished goldtone metal hinged frame, decorative polished gold flip-over clasp and a bright gold mesh handle attached to hinges on each side of the clasp.

The roomy interior is completely lined in bright red satin with one zippered compartment and two pocket compartments outlined in black and a tag is attached to the fabric that reads MADE IN ITALY.

The purse measures 7 1/4" high x 8 1/8" across the bottom that features rounded corners and 2" wide across the base. The purse is in fabulous condition inside and out with exceptional craftsmanship and very high quality materials, ideal for the Holiday Season or the perfect gift for the vintage purse lover! Circa 1940.
