Vintage 50's Leopard Pin & Eyeglass Holder...VERY Chic & Highly Detailed!

Beautifully detailed leopard in a crouched position, very animated design, made with antiqued goldtone metal and in totally excellent condition. This exotic jungle cat is from a 1958 estate collection, no signature but very high quality craftsmanship and materials and measures appx 3" side to side x 1" from the top of his back to the bottom of the ring.

The versatility of the design is what makes this such a unique accessory. The secure clasp on the back turns it into a very striking pin and the gold metal ring at the bottom of the tummy was intended to keep your eyeglasses safe and handy. However, these pieces have also been widely used to loop a scarf, attach a name tag or a pen, extra keys, charms, etc and always attract loads of compliments and questions like "Wow! WHERE did you find that?!"

These were seen everywhere during the late 50's and early 60's but they seem to have totally disappeared.Very difficult to find in such great condition....if you can find one at all. I don't believe you'll ever wear a vintage accessory that is more practical, more unusual or more fun!
