This is a wonderful burnt orange-colored cookie jar signed on the bottom "Ransburg Genuine Hand Painted Indianapolis USA" within what looks like the shape of a painter's palette. (Note pictures taken with pumpkin to help show true color of this great piece!)

The cookie jar measures approximately 10" in height including the lid and 25" in circumference (around the widest part of the jar.) The paint is in particularly great shape with only a few minor flea bites -- one small one to the left of the top tail feather and two tiny ones on the back of the jar. Additionally, there is a small scuff on the upper left side of the white heart under the rooster's feet.

This cookie jar is a RARE find in this condition and especially so since the lid still remains and is also in such great shape! This 2-piece jar appears only very gently used; it has been particularly well cared for over the years. (It is heavy weighing nearly 6 lbs. before packing and will be double-boxed for safe shipping.)
