A perfect, earthy, coordination of colors, I keep coming back to this combination. A self-made lampwork glass bead having an avocado shade of color as the base, then blue and black. I love the black webbing effect, or "bloom", which is a reaction that happens when the glass is heated super hot. I don't see gemstones like this very often - superb quality, eye clean, diamond shaped green fluorite, hand woven segments of chain maille (jens pind weave), and accents of London blue topaz, tundura sapphire, and green apatite decorate the sides. I came up with this modified vertebra weave "connector" to suspend it from, and the total length including the handmade ear wires is 2" (5 cm). To make these sterling silver gemstone earrings I formed the frame, hammered it for effect, then hand coiled and wrapped fine silver wire around the frame and hung these gorgeous deep red garnet trillions in a chainmaille type fashion.
