This is neat large ship in a case. It even has little men doing their duties all over the ship. Please look at all the detail shown in the photos to really appreciate the work that goes into one of these. The case measures 37" wide, 24" high and 14" deep. The front and sides are plexiglass which keeps it from being so heavy when it is moved. This would look great in a den or study of any boat lover.

This is a wonderful old English pine hanging cupboard. As you can tell from the pictures, it was painted white at one time. It has been stripped and repainted blue in some parts. It is a large cupboard measuring 60" wide, 62.5" high and 12.5" deep. With the doors open you can see three shelves, but there are supports for three more. This is a fabulous Louis XV French double door armoire standing 8'3" tall. It is 59" wide and 21" deep. This beautiful piece with the simple carvings is made of fruitwood. We found it in a small village in Southern France. It was made around 1750. I have tried to show the faults. A wonderful large (65.5"high and 37"wide) French mirror that has cream paint and gilded accents. As expected of a mirror of this age, C1880, it has some repairs in the corners that are shown in photos. The mirror itself is in better than expected condition, with very few spots. I think the photos give an accurate depiction of the mirror. We will be happy to send additional photos or information on request.

This is a beautiful large transferware flow blue platter from England. It measures 19.25" by 15.75", a very large platter. This is a very dark blue with heavy flow. I have a photo of the makers mark, but i can't read it. The dark blue is even darker than it appears in photo.

What a wonderful large green majolica jardiniere on stand. It has beautiful Art Nouveau decorations and is probably from that period. It makes quite a statement, standing 40.5" tall, about 17" in diameter. A fabulous ink well stand with wonderful large glass ink well. Not sure what kind of wood, but it adds to the beauty with the contrasting brass and white trim around the brass studs. The base is 8.5" by 11.5" and with the ink well stands about 6" high. The ink well seems to be stuck into the opening of the base, and I didn't want to force it, maybe by design. I have a similar one in the store and the ink well will not come out of it also. Maybe they glued them in to keep them from falling out ...

This pheasant match striker is much larger than most other match strike of this era. Both the wand and the "striking region" and located on the trunk. We could find no markings on the spelter, only "Made In Austria" on the bottom of the wooden base. Overall dimensions are 12-3/5" long and 8-1/4" high. The MacFarlane, Lang & Company "Yule Log" Biscuit Tin of 1910 depicts three images around the wood relief tin "the felling of the trees"; "the home-bringing" and "the joyous Christmastide welcome". The tin is 7-inches tall with the its lid and has a 5-inch diameter.

This is a fabulous English majolica milk pitcher with wonderful colors. It was made by Wedgwood and has the Victorian registry mark for 1867. The saying around the pitcher states " What tho my gates be poor, take them in good part, may you have better cheer, but not with better heart." It stands 7.5" tall and is about 5.5" wide. There are no cracks or chips, a beautiful piece of majolica.

As you can tell from the pictures, this is a beautiful chair, a true work of art. The needlepoint and beading is of excellent quality. The chair dates form about 1850. It will be difficult to find a nicer example of mid Victorian workmanship on a chair. The pictures speak for themselves, and they don't do it justice. Mr. Kovel noticed it at our stand at Round Top and had his crew film it because it was so beautiful.

This is a great old English tea tin that been professionally repainted. The original rd paint shows through in places to get it a great decorative look. At the time of listing I have another identical one. Either one or both would make a fabulous pair of designer lamps. If they don't sell soon, I will probably have them made into lamps. It measures just over 12" tall,8.25" wide and 8 1/8" deep. There are no holes or rust on the tin.

A fine old Milners document box that someone has repainted and added a coat of arms decal, which gives it an attractive look. It was made by Milners of Liverpool (stamped on the lock). This is ONE of two Papier mache hanging shoe pockets. The other shoe will also be listed separately. This is just so cute, we haven't seen one before. You can see they were constructed to hang but can also sit flat. It is 8" long and 3" wide. The last photo shows damage on the back but it did not penetrate the front.

This Barbola mirror is somewhat unique in that it is designed with fruits and vegetation rather than blossoms. In England, many have been known to be repainted and some are even reproductions, so beware. These are all in their original, unrestored condition. This mirror is just over 2-feet tall.

This is a charming pair of hound bookends. The dogs are sitting atop marble bases but we are not certain if they are bronze or spelter. Each base is about 6" tall. It is getting so difficult to find good bookends, especially with dogs! A Ruby Lane used identified these as Borzoi.

This is a very pretty porcelain Irish whiskey barrel with very colorful hand painted floral decoration. It has its brass spigot, but is missing its top. It is about 13" high and 15" deep with th spigot. This is an old one, probably 19th century and shows signs of usage as shown in photos. Please note the "spider" cracks as shown.

This is a great example of the beautiful detailed silk work that was done in the late 18th and early 19th century England. This was part of the proper education for the young ladies of that time. They worked with silk from about 1780-1820. This one has beautiful muted colors and great detail. The way she did the feathers they look almost real. This is a fabulous art deco picture frame with Barbola flowers going up the side and mirrored accents. It has the easel back and also chain and hooks so it can be hung or stand alone. The overall frame is 10.75" wide and 10" high. The glass where the picture would be displayed is 8" wide and 10" high although smaller pictures would look fine inside the mirrored accents. The pictures accurately show the condition of the frame.

This is just a fabulous English gilded mirror. If you have a place for it, this will definitely be an attention getter. It stands 77' high and 69.5" wide, so it is quite an imposing piece. This is an early Thompson lamp as evidenced by the cloth wiring and celluloid socket, which I purposely didn't rewire to show its age. If you are Thompson followers, which you must be if you have read this far, you know that his workshop is still in operation, even though he is no longer with us. His signature mouse is what makes this lamp unique from other lamps of this period. Here is a chance to own a piece of history. It is 14" tall without harp.

This is a beautiful example of a classic Regency tea caddy which still has its original key. The beautiful coromandal wood and contrasting string inlay in the traditional casket shape, with the ivory key escutcheon and brass handles gives this caddy the look of elegance. It is very good overall condition, especially considering that it is nearly 200 years old. Photos show condition very well.

He may be the greatest English greyhound racer of all time. He raced in the 1970's. The painting itself is 20x24-inches.

A wonderful old oak Bible box dating from around 1690. The legs were added later, probably around 1750. Although we do not have the key, the box has its original lock and henge. I'm sorry you can't feel the patina of the 300 plus year oak, it is grand. Just imagine this old piece was around nearly 100 years before we declared our independence. The pictures show the condition, which is very good,for a piece this old. It is 39" high, 31" wide, and 18.5" deep.

This charming Beaver Top Hat is daring and classic. Complete with leather carrying case this item is truly a great find. The leather cases usually cost this much. The leather case is missing its strap and shows years of wear. This hat and case are probably late Victorian to Edwardian.
