SALE Unusual Continental Majolica Tray with American Indians

$397 USD SaleSALE Unusual Continental Majolica Tray with American Indians

Pottery:By Type:Majolica
This is quite an unusual tray since it is continental majolica and has American Indians as the main subject matter. The perimeter is made up of vines and flowers. There are no markings on this piece which measures 14" wide and 11" high. There are several chips on the underside which don't detract from the tray. A couple are on the edge but aren't obvious on the front.
SALE Large dark Green Majolica Jardiniere on Stand

$497 USD SaleSALE Large dark Green Majolica Jardiniere on Stand

Pottery:Antique
What a wonderful large green majolica jardiniere on stand. It has beautiful Art Nouveau decorations and is probably from that period. It makes quite a statement, standing 40.5" tall, about 17" in diameter. The base is 28" tall and would make a fantastic table base with a round glass top, and you could use the jardiniere as a planter. Either way, it is a conversation piece. This would be shipped in two boxes and unfortunately, the Ruby Lane shipping option doesn't allow this, so I'm saying ...

Pottery:Antique
This is a quite unique piece of majolica palissy. I have never seen another planter like this one. Although not marked, quite sure it is from Portugal. The green grassy material is not as green as most of these pieces. This one is a nice size and makes quite a statement. It is about 8" tall and 7" wide. The underside of the lizards head is being professionally repaired. You wonder how that got chipped. Maybe a snake from one of the other pieces got hold of it. For you palissy collectors, this ...

Fabulous Victorian Majolica Game Plaque (One of Pair)

$695 USDFabulous Victorian Majolica Game Plaque (One of Pair)

Pottery:By Maker
This is a beautiful majolica game plaque. It was originally the top of a game pie dish by George Jones. A picture of the dish is found on Page 57 of "Majolica American and European Wares" by Snyder & Bockol, 1994. At some point a hole was drilled so it could be hung. There is a tiny hair line at the bottom which I have shown in photos of top and bottom. This measures 9.25" long, 6.5" wide, and approximately 3.5" tall. We do have an identical one which is not listed if any one wants a pair.

This is a Staffordshire dog that you don't see too often. The colors in the photos are true to color, being a brownish orange. He is in pretty good shape. The second photo shows a rough area on top of ear which may have been a fault in firing. The left eye has a hairline crack and discoloration around eye. There is also a small rough spot on edge of base by front feet. This makes it seem like it is rough, but the pictures show it is a nice Staffordshire piece, and one that is hard to find. He ...
