As you can tell from the pictures, this is a beautiful chair, a true work of art. The needlepoint and beading is of excellent quality. The chair dates form about 1850. It will be difficult to find a nicer example of mid Victorian workmanship on a chair. The pictures speak for themselves, and they don't do it justice. Mr. Kovel noticed it at our stand at Round Top and had his crew film it because it was so beautiful.

A wonderful old oak Bible box dating from around 1690. The legs were added later, probably around 1750. Although we do not have the key, the box has its original lock and henge. I'm sorry you can't feel the patina of the 300 plus year oak, it is grand. Just imagine this old piece was around nearly 100 years before we declared our independence. The pictures show the condition, which is very good,for a piece this old. It is 39" high, 31" wide, and 18.5" deep.

This is long (33") stool with its original needlepoint upholstery. There are large brass upholstery tacks surrounding the stool holding the upholstery, which overall is in very good condition. One small tear, shown in photo, on the bottom edge. The colors are very muted, maybe faded from sunlight. There is a drop of glue which doesn't show up well on photos, about the size of a nail head. There are also some worm holes on the chestnut base.

A wonderful scalloped edge mahogany tilt top table on a carved tripod base. The table was professionally polished in London before being shipped to U.S. The top of table is 28" in diameter. When in the up position it stands 39.5" tall. When down in the normal table position, it stands 23" tall which is shorter than most tables. I have tried to show the imperfections in the top by holding the table at angles to catch the light. The table is circa 1900.

This a very nice example of a late Victorian mahogany jardiniere. It has very elegant detail as shown in photos. The jardiniere measures just under 36" high. The top is about 9" square. The legs are about 14" deep. There is a slight warp in the top which photo shows, but a plant, lamp, or whatever still will sit nicely. One of the .5" pieces of trim is missing in one corner, hard to see in photos.

A fine old oak school desk with the ink well. This is the last of the contents of the first all girl's school in England. We bought nearly all of the contents several years a go and found this buried in our warehouse. Everything but the bottom of the desk and the metal hinges is solid oak. It is structurally still very sound. It has some initials carved in the top (does that bring back memories), and some ink stains, especially inside. The desk stands 31" high, is 22" wide and about 18" deep.
