It is blue-butterfly day here in spring, And with these sky-flakes down in flurry on flurry There is more unmixed color on the wing Than flowers will show for days unless they hurry.

But these are flowers that fly and all but sing: And now from having ridden out desire They lie closed over in the wind and cling Where wheels have freshly sliced the April mire.

After reading this poem, I though of the perfect interpretation of a butterfly .

The frame is shaped ,hammered and then wrapped in fine gauge sterling silver wire. Draping down from the bottom are gorgeous cultured freshwater keishi cornflake pearls dyed a peacock blue color ,on individually made sterling silver headpins. The showcase of these earrings are AA grade fluorite laser cut enormous briolettes and AAA grade chandalier rock crystal quartz gemstones.

These hang on secure sterling silver lever backs and hang approximately 3 3/4 inches long (9.5 cm)They have been oxidized to give them an old world feel.
