Here is a selection of the SCHRAFFT restaurant LUNCHEON Menu's which span from 1947 to 1955. I have photographed the front, back and right side page of each menu. The right side of the inside page has the date. There was a different menu for each day of the week. You will notice that there is advertising on the back page. The February 4, 1947 has a write up about Thomas A. Edison and the 100th anniversary of his death on Feb. 11th.

All of the MENU'S were used for only one day. They all were used and are in good condition. Some have center folds and a few have a spot or two from coffee or food. You will love reading them from cover to cover. They are really unique!

The Menu's are as follows:

Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1947 from the 556 5th Ave. location. The back has the tribute to Thomas A. Edison..10th Anniversary of his death.

Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1948 from 556 5th Ave. location. The back has a picture of a heart for Valentine's Day. It says..."Let the Postman Play Cupid" Valentines Day is Saturday, February 14th, and if you like the postman to play cupid for you, it's time now to choose your heart of sweets to carry your sentiments to your far- away Valentine.

At our counter are hearts galore...pink, red, blue, tied with ribbons and flowers...and the Schrafft's candies they hold will tell her how much she means to you.

Better stop today and leave your order.

Friday, March 23, 1956 at 13 East 42nd Street location. The back has advertising from the DOROTHY & DICK Radio Show...called BREAKFAST WITH DOROTHY & DICK. ...8:15 to 9AM...Mon. to Fri....WOR RADIO.

There is also their own ad for a RABBIT ROUND-UP. Time now to get the Easter Bunny busy...and we at Schrafft's are ready to help.

There's a happy selection of gay bunnies, delicious candies, and exciting nests for you to choose as your Easter Bunny messenger of happiness. And to make sure that your gift is there to greet the day, it's a good idea to send it on it's way this week. There is another paragraph of copy.

Saturday, February 28, 1948 at the 5 East 37th Street location. The back has a write up ad for take-out....LUNCHEON WHEN YOU ARE DESK- BOUND.

April 11, 1957 from the 556 5th Ave, location. The back cover has an ad from WOR Radio advertising their show...MUSIC FROM STUDIO X MATINEE and one of their ads ...GIFTS FOR A HAPPY EASTER. An egg hunt for Easter morning...a hidden basket for the very young to find...sweets for all the family...a cuddly bunny or two...that's the tradition for Easter and fun for everyone. There are two more paragraphs of copy...

July 21, 1952 from the 13 East 42nd Street location. The back cover has an ad for SCHRAFFT's ....SUMMER CANDIES. The last paragraph says...Each week we will feature a different flavor made up in cool summer favorites. Watch for the flavor of the week...and take some home for all of the family to enjoy!

August 1, 1955 at the 556 5th Avenue location. The back cover has...HAPPY COMBINATION....Once more Schrafft's and SEVENTEEN Magazine have combined to bring you something special...something good! We're introducing this week the Schrafft's SEVENTEEN sandwich and it will be featured all this month at all Schrafft's restaurants.

The editors of SEVENTEEN Magazine , knowing so well what the young people like to eat, asked Schrafft's to dream up a special sandwich that would hit the spot for restaurant lunching...and be just as good to make at home. Our new sandwich is the result, and we have a hunch that men and women of every age will take to this tasty combination of ham, toast and special cheese topping. It's filling is tangy...and it goes so well with sparkling summer beverages. There is also another paragraph and a PS.

Well, folks, these are the 7 MENU's to select from. Please indicate what date and location you are ordering. Just put a notation on your order. I never really appreciated a SCHRAFFT's menu in the past. They have so much to them and they are so interesting! ENJOY!!

Please browse the rest of my shop to see a huge assortment of very interesting items that are ANYTHING VINTAGE! Thanks!
