Jelly Belly Sterling Bird

I wish this charming sparrow could tell me who made him but he's only signed "sterling". He has a clear lucite "belly" and goldtone metal head, wings and tail, and is mounted on a flowering branch, accented with rhinestones. His "face" reminds me of a Boucher bird I sold recently but since it is unsigned it will remain a WWII era piece. There is slight crazing to the lucite which the scan exaggerates. The brooch measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2".
