Trifari (Pat. Pend.) Retro Necklace

A lovely example of late 1940's Trifari, this clear rhinestone rhodium plated necklace has a bow with a pear shaped drop as the center motif. I believe that a previous owner has added the last one and 1/2" of chain and the spring ring, converting it to a more adjustable necklace, from the original fold-over clasp. The necklace now measures 16 1/4" in length. The central motif is 2" long and drops 1/2". It is signed on the back of the central motif, and is in excellent condition.

Unmistakeably an Alfred Phillipe design, the necklace appears to be a slight variation of D. 155,221 which was assigned on Sept. 13, 1949. It would have been made prior to that date, since it is marked Pat. Pend.

Feminine and romantic, this would be a wonderful addition to your Trifari collection, and would serve equally well as bridal or prom jewelry.
