Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) Loop, aka O'Hara, Victorian oil lamp! This old pattern was made by several companies. Central Glass in 1870, Challinor /Taylor in 1875, and McKee also in 1875. This is an exquisite example in completely original condition! Nice thick glass that comes close to lead crystal, probably flint glass. Prism like pattern. The shade is old and original to the lamp. It has an unusual crimped top, it has a slight lavender / purple hue, this is mostly visible at the crimped portion.

The lamp measures 13 1/2 inches to the top of the shade. The lamp is about 6 1/2 inches up to the collar. The base has a 4 inch diameter. It is in excellent condition! Small rough spot and the edge of the handle, very minor. No other damage. Some residue on the very bottom inside, not bad. Glass is crystal clear and clean. The bottom of the foot has heavy ware that is appropriate for a piece this age.

I collect oil lamps and had a hard time listing this one. It is rare to find them in this condition with original shade. But, my mantel overfloweth. I like to give a home to the battered beauties, chipped and stained, I send the best of the bunch to Ruby Lane.
