An Antique French Louis XV Style Walnut Wood Stool upholstered with Aubusson Tapestry – Tapestry upholstery is from the 1700’s – Frame is Circa 1900 – Good Antique Condition
This elegant Louis XV style walnut wood stool has been upholstered with a fragment of Aubusson tapestry, attached with brass nailheads. The knees of the four cabriole legs bear florets and trailing leaves and, mimicked again in the center of the rail. The feet are escargot and are all joined in the center with a finial of more leaves. The tapestry is a fragment of an Aubusson from the 1700’s.
This could be used as a stool for a vanity or small desk or as a foot stool with a companion chair of similar style and upholstery.
