CONDITION: (unexamined out of frame) No visible defects (damage, staining, spotting or fading); colours fresh.

FRAME: Swept gilt composition over wood, glazed with gilt mount; some chips to composition, on edges rather than mouldings, so could be easily filled and restored; 74 x 56cm

BIOGRAPHY: Jan Hillebrand Wysmuller (Dutch 1855-1925) was a painter, water-colourist and engraver (etchings). He mainly painted landscapes, urban landscapes and landscapes with figures. He studied in Amsterdam at the Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten.
