This is a knole (sometimes spelled knowle or knoll) drop-arm sofa. It is done in a luscious, deep Ruby Red velvet with reversible cushions. The reverse side of the cushions is done in an embroidered floral motif. Adjust the tassled rope to hold up the arms at any level to make a daybed suited to your personal comfort (So versatile ! ). The double nailhead trim and fringe skirt are just icing on the cake. Made in Denmark , this style is based on a design used in 18th century Scottish castles - The high sides kept the draft off of the occupant.
