Antique Mother of Pearl Dog and Sword Pin

This is an exquisite pin made of Mother of Pearl with gold accents. The dog's head is essentially the handle of the sword. I don't know what the significance of this pin is, I suppose it could be purely decorative in nature. Whatever it is.....it is lovely and nicely done! This would make a wonderful gift for the dog lover in your family! It measures 2 1/4" long and 3/4" at the widest. It has a c-clasp.
