Kauba had a fascination with the American West and his imagination and creativity were further inspired by the German writer Carl May. There is some controversy as to whether or not Kauba ever got the opportunity to visit our wild west, but his creations are so well done that he is compared to the likes of Frederic Remington. Now that is a true compliment.
This sculpture is bronze over a zinc metal or spelter. It stands 6 1/8" tall from the bottom of the base and 5 1/2" long and 3" deep. It is signed on the back C. Kauba.
