Over 45 years in the trade.
These sterling salts, marked 800, have blown oval liners, and are European circa 1850. They are listed as #646 in “5,000 )pen Salts A Collector’s Guide By William Heacock and Patricia Johnson. They are considered scarce. The salts are 2 in. long x 1 5/8 in. wide x 1 3/8 in. tall. The sterling silver is in excellent condition. One liner is perfect, the other has some roughness around the rim (shown in photo) and sets a bit lower (level with the top) than the other. Individually blown pieces are not identical. Not bad for 155 years old.
