This is a fantastic find! It is a child's scrap book with pictures dating from as early as 1884. The front and back binder is maroon color with gold trim. All the pages and binder are in very poor condition. The paper that the cut outs are pasted on is crumbling. But the cut outs themselves are still in very good condition overall and could definitely be used individually or put on new paper. They would also be beautiful framed.

The binder has 39 pages with approximately 10 pictures per page (+/- 400 pictures). There are scenes of children, ladies, gentlemen, animals, fashions, fruits, vegetables, flowers, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and more.

Some pictures may actually be postcards. Some have descriptions, advertising, and other writings, such as: Heckers' Self-Rising Buckwheat, "Old Abe" The War Eagle, Borden Eagle Brand Condensed Milk, Pears "You Dirty Boy", The Diamond Dye Almanac, Arm & Hammer, Leggett's Vanilla Extracts, June 1893 Verina Anne Davis, Scott's Emulsion Cod Liver Oil, The Young Discoverers, Tasting Wine, Clark's Cotton Spool Thread, Copyright 1884 Silver Bells, and more.

For those that collect Black memorabilia, there is a picture of a black sailor holding a child.

Just a great collection!
