The lady I purchased this beautiful parasol from said her dad sent it back to her mom from where he was stationed in WWII.

It is made of rice paper and bamboo. The black paint on the handle and top has worn off in some places. There are a few places where the paper is pulling away from the "stints", but overall it is in very good condition. It opens and closes well. There is a cloth "ring" that holds it together when it is closed. The colors are still very nice also.

It measures 24" when closed and open to a large 33" across.
