The bottoms bear the identifying mark of the Jean Pouyat Porcelain Factory in Limoges, France. The underglaze mark #5, in green, is shown in the Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges, which shows the date of the mark being 1891-1932.
The sugar measures 5-1/2" from handle to handle and is 5-1/4” tall with its lid in place. The creamer measures 3 1/4" tall, and 3-1/2" wide from handle to spout. Both pieces rest on square pedestal bases that measure 1-7/8” x 1-7/8”.
This charming set is in excellent condition; with no hairlines, chips, cracks, or restoration or any kind.
A wonderful addition to your collection for display, or for use with their intended purpose of serving with coffee or tea. They are wonderful examples of antique hand painted Limoges porcelain.
