Fine Ruby Red Glass Bell handpainted in the ever popular Mary Gregory Style. Unmarked, but likely made and decorated by an American glass company as noted by the all white scene, and the quality of the glass.

The pristine white handpainted scene of a young boy with a fish on his line, stands in stark contrast to the rich ruby red body of the bell. As with typical Mary Gregory style, young children are depicted in play or leisurely activities. The bell's handle is clear and applied. Clapper is lead, giving a crystal clear ring.

Bell measurements are 6" high, 2 3/4" at widest. Excellent condition. Two small bubbles and factory impression in handle. Barely noticeable.

What a lovely little bell, done in the style of a most beloved artistic design. Whether Mary Gregory was a real person or the creation of a glass company, the subjects and details are endearing to all.
