Grand Pair of 19th Century Bronze Dore Candelabrum . Highly detailed pierced/reticulation in both the hollow base and urn center are unmistakeably a display of distinctive quality from the Era of excess. The impressive set consists of four lower arms,with a single candle cup sitting at top center. Each cup and drip guard is embossed with elegant oval medallion designs with scalloped edges, while the urn center boasts a blank shield design. The raised base sits atop splayed scroll feet and are themselves embellished with the same type of fine detailed metal work. Several French Fleur de Lis appear within the designs throughout the piece. It has all the earmarks of French design. Both sides of each gorgeous piece are from the same mold, although no mold marks are present. The arms and handles of the base, urn and candle arms consist of scrolls, bars and Fleur de lis. They have a lovely aged and well cared for patina.

The set stands an impressive 20" high, with the base measuring 6"X 41/2". Condition is excellent. There is a repair beneath one of the urns. Each piece has a drip cup missing from atop the candle cup. A cup on one has a bit of verdigris on a small area. This can easily be restored. It in no way detracts from the integrity and beauty of the set. There is no hallmarks on either that I can see.

This wonderfully elegant pair would be magnificent on a mantel or in any interior setting where grand design is paramount. It is a beautiful display of 19th Century workmanship and highly detailed design.
