Christmas Is Coming To The Treasure Chest! Stay Tuned!!!
Just a basic bar pattern quilt that is hand stitched but machine pieced. Turkey red fabric is cotton although a thin cotton. Tan fabric is an early shirting stripe. The backing is a heavy weight muslin almost like a lightweight canvas feel to it. The batting is a thicker type. I don't believe this quilt has ever been laundered or hardly used. Six to seven stitches per inch. Weight wise, this quilt is a heavy one.
It does have a few condition issues. The main one is a hole in the top layer about 1" x 1/2" and another close by about 1/4" square. There are several small rust stains on the backing and two water stains along one edge about a 4" area. And lastly, there is fraying around the edge binding, not the whole binding but enough that I need to tell you about it. Hopefully the pictures will give you view of these.
