Antique Oak Bentwood Pantry Box ~ Bail Handle

Beautiful natural medium patina on this wonderful early oak bentwood pantry box. Measures 10 1/2" in diameter x 6 1/2 tall. Heavy wire bail handle with a wooden grip moves freely and is securely attached.

It appears that the pantry box was set on a hot stove some time ago because there are burn marks around the bottom. There are two staples used to make a repair on the bottom. Also a narrow strip of the bentwood oak is missing around the bottom rim. The lid is missing two wooden pegs so it is a little loose. Hopefully you can see this in my photos. Box is still very sturdy inspite of it what I mentioned.
