This is one of the last quilts uncovered in a trunk in a lake estate I am working with. I am guessing this is one of the last ones the 93 year old gal made as well. Quilt is in unused condition made with 1960's vintage fabrics and unbleached muslin backing. Hand stitched pink scalloped edge binding. 6 stitches per inch. If only this little toy were in better condition! Truly an oldie! Antique cast iron push toy on a stick. It looks like a donkey. Rider has traces of paint still visible. Unfortunately the donkey has one side of its face broken. The wooden stick is broken down to 8" left. It is rusted and very primitive looking. It still works and rolls nicely. Beautiful natural medium patina on this wonderful early oak bentwood pantry box. Measures 10 1/2" in diameter x 6 1/2 tall.
