This is a lovely genuine ivory, handcarved, cameo, circa 1950. Pretty grain lines. Vintage piece, excellent condition. It measures 40 MM in height; 30 MM in width; from base, to point of highest relief, it is 6 MM in thickness. What is of interest is the "twisted-rope" carved bezel. Also, note the same treatment given, in detail, the lady's hairdo. Worn as brooch only. It is a pretty work of jewelry, from the Victorian Era, circa 1900,carved ivory, very nice relief, in excellent condition, a brooch, with the old "safety-pin" style clasp on the back (I think it is of brass). The flower measures 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" and I cannot find any chips or cracks in it. Shipping and insurance for this item will be $4.00 for all USA shipments. For foreign orders, consult seller.

There is lots of action in this beautifully-carved, Victorian-era ivory brooch, measuring 2" in diameter. A horned bull chases a marsupial-looking creature across the landscape; in the background are finely-detailed trees, dimensional ground. There is petal-like carving on the outer edges of the brooch. There is absolutely lovely carving - and wonderful relief - and detail on this slightly-post-Victorian Era genuine ivory, handcarved cameo. Note the wavy locks, detailed crown, facial features. Cameo's relief is just under 1/4" at the highest point. This brooch is set in a 10K GF bezel; ornamental bead-work dots the bezel. The ivory has mellowed to a lovely-creamy hue.
