A unique piece of trench art! Combining metal, lucite and bakelite components, this table lighter features a large ammunition shell atop a cut brass star, atop a clear lucite star, atop a circular black bakelite base. The base passes the 409 test for bakelite. The green painted tip of the shell comes off to reveal the lighting mechanism. The black bakelite base measures 4.5" (11.5cm) in diameter and the lighter stands 6.0" (15 cm) in height. Some very minor dents, scratches and age-related tarnish; else very good condition.
