A handmade antique masterpiece! This handmade wooden box holds two decks of playing cards, and evinces its maker's extreme love of cards. The front panel depicts the Queen of Hearts, and the rear a beautiful design using all four suits. The top is dated "1904," and the sides and bottom bear the only personally identifying marks: initials of the artist ("H.P.W."?).

This treasure measures approximately 3 3/8" (8.5 cm) by 2 1/2" (6 cm) and stands 4 1/8" (10.5 cm) in height. It is in very good condition, with a few small chips, rubs, and closed cracks, consistent with age.
