The gears actually move on this clever vintage advertising piece! This metal tie bar with tiny (one can only assume) nylon gears measures approximately 2" by 1/2". It bears its manufacturer's mark on the back: Anson, the prolific producer of cuff links, tie bars, and other men's jewelry items.

The tie bar is in very good vintage condition, and the gears actually move. Did I mention that already? The gears really move! Highly unusual. So cool.
