Vintage Murano Glass Deep Pink Shell Bowl

Here is a lovely piece of Murano blown glass from the famous glass center of Venice, Italy, circa 1950‘s-60‘s. It is a bowl in the shape of a spiral shell, pink inside, clear outside, and very thick, heavy glass, about 1-1 ½“. The quite large bowl can serve many purposes: terrific holding a shrimp dip at a party, or floating a flower on a table, or as a large candy dish. The outside of the piece has large diamond shapes throughout to add décor and texture; within the glass are numerous tiny bubbles; and the ends have the spiral shapes of the shell. Quite heavy and large, the piece is 11” long, 7” across, and stands 3 ½” tall at center. No maker’s mark, and excellent condition throughout--no chips or cracks anywhere, and the only light signs of normal wear are on the flat, smooth bottom. A beautiful addition to any décor.
