Gorgeous mother of pearl Elgin American compact with emerald green rhinestones set in front. Unused, in beautiful condition, still has original puff and paper insert. Also comes with a purple felt American Beauty pouch, which has some wear at its edges. The m.o.p. on this compact is heavy and thick and in perfect condition, and the green stones simply glow – this is a wonderful piece from Elgin American, most likely circa 1940s. The white to silver metal case has some spots of finish wear around the sides, mostly on the hinged rear and on the back side, which has an angle-set ribbed pattern. Measures 2.75” by 2.25”.
